Our Beginning:
Julie Schwartz’s studio, a women-owned business enterprise was founded in 1989 out of a natural demand when one of Julie’s original poems and a hand-cut paper design were given as a gift. The artwork was shared with others who were so impressed with the quality and the sentiment that they wanted to purchase them for themselves and to give as gifts. So many orders were placed for this unique item, that Julie decided to leave a successful career as a graphic artist and launch the Julie Schwartz Studio. When her line was presented to the retail market, it was immediately and enthusiastically accepted.
As a calligrapher and poet for over twenty years, Julie draws on her own experiences and emotions to create the poetry that is used in this classic collection. Suitable for many special occasions, Julie has written poems especially for weddings, anniversaries, the miracle of childbirth, and as expressions of love and friendship. For the New Millennium, Julie decided to rename her company Leap of Faith Poetry as an affirmation of her devotion and faith in God.
