The award-winning author of the Florida WildLife book series as well as author and publisher of many poetic verses for the card and gift industry would be honored to come to your school to share ideas on how she became a successful writer and how your students can too. Julie's tender and comforting personality reaches her audience with a story-telling and hands-on presentation. Julie has been writing and publishing her works since the late 1980's.

Key Highlights of Young Authors Program:

          Motivates students to become successful writers

          Displays key writing techniques in an exciting and memorable way

          Tackles low self-confidence and explains, through story-telling and illustrative techniques, why writers should not get discouraged and should never give up

          Addresses the importance of becoming a writer and its impact on our world.

At the end of each 45-minute session, a question and answer period follows to allow students the opportunity to express their thoughts, share ideas, or simply to ask the author questions about being a professional writer. Julie connects well with children and encourages them to research, plan, but most of all to enjoy writing!

Full-Day sessions include:

          up to 4  45-minutes sessions, plus up to 15 minutes Q & A (grades: K-12)

          Special gifts for all students in attendance.

          Materials on display during author’s visit.

          Follow-up lesson ideas for teachers

Half-Day sessions include:

          up to 2  45-minute sessions, plus up to 15 minutes Q & A (grades: K-12)

          Special gifts for all students in attendance.

          Materials on display during author’s visit.

Fees:    Sharing a program with other schools in your area or district is one way to reduce expenses. Consider combining students from several schools at one location for a full day, offering half-day programs at two locations, or offering one session at four locations for the price of one Full Day, or any combination that works for you!

         $400 Full-Day*      $300 Half-Day*

         $500** per day plus travel and hotel accommodations
